Getting the 'Why' questions on hard mode

3 year old has entered the question phase and I'm not prepared. Five minutes ago he asked me why the sky is blue. I gave him the whole light wavelength explanation thinking I was being educational. He stared at me and asked why light has wavelengths. I now understand why parents drink coffee.

Buckle up, my friend. This is just the beginning. The questions get MORE creative and harder to answer as they get older. I started keeping a notebook of the weird ones because they're gold.

Oh man, the 'Why' phase is relentless. My 3yo did this for like six months straight. Pro tip: sometimes 'that's just how it works' and changing the subject actually works better than trying to give real answers. Your sanity comes first.

Why is your question incomplete? Now I'm dying to know what the sky/sun/grass question was lol. The 'why' phase is brutal but also kind of amazing once you accept you won't have real answers half the time.
