Got caught trying to sneak extra chicken nuggets from my kid's plate

We're at dinner and my 7yo is distracted watching something on my wife's phone. I lean over to grab like three nuggets off his plate real quick and he whips around and GASPS like I just committed a crime. 'Dad! Those are MY nuggets!' Wife won't stop laughing at me. Apparently there's a nugget code of conduct I'm violating. Who knew being a dad meant becoming a petty criminal over chicken nuggets. Worth it though they were good nuggets.

Got caught doing the exact same thing last week. My wife just looked at me and shook her head. The ninja chicken nugget grab is a right of passage apparently. Your 7yo won't even remember this but you'll be telling it for years.

This is peak dad energy right here. The sneak attack on the plate while they're distracted. I do this with my daughter's fries all the time and she has no idea where they're going. Dad tax is real.
