I'm becoming my father and I'm okay with it
Caught myself last week tucking my t-shirt into my shorts, making dad sounds when I got up from the couch, and asking my kids if they wanted their lawn mowed for 50 cents. My dad did all these exact things and I swore I'd never turn into him. But here I am at 42 years old doing the same stuff and honestly the kids think it's hilarious. Full circle I guess.
Dude I caught myself doing the groan when standing up last week and my kid LAUGHED at me. That's when you know it's officially happening.
My dad used to do the exact same grunt getting out of his recliner. Swore I'd never be that guy. I'm basically him now and honestly it's kind of great.
