Been there 8 years and finally made senior manager. Honestly I was so tired from being up at 2am with the baby that I almost forgot about the interview. Pulled it together though and my wife is throwing a little thing this weekend. Feels good to show the boys that hard work pays off. Plus the raise means I can finally buy that grill I've been eyeing lol
Senior manager is a big deal, especially in this market right now. You should actually celebrate this win instead of just pushing through on coffee and willpower. Take your family out or something.
The 2am thing is real with little kids. Hope the promotion comes with better hours or at least the ability to do some things on your own schedule now that you're senior.
Congrats man! Eight years is a long time to stick it out for that promotion. That sleep deprivation definitely hits different when you have kids though.

Seriously well done. I made the jump to senior level last year and the first month was rough figuring out the new expectations. Just want to say it gets better once you settle in.
