My son says 'Dad I'm hungry' and I hit him with 'Hi Hungry, I'm Dad.' He groans SO hard. My wife is not amused. I'm getting better at this comedy thing though, I can feel it.

That's a solid joke. The groan is how you know you've nailed it as a dad. My kid does the same thing when I hit him with the classics. Your wife might not appreciate it but that's the dad tax.

Getting the groan is the goal. That means it's bad enough that it's actually funny. The worst dad jokes are the best dad jokes.
