Caught myself laughing at my own joke while explaining why we can't leave the porch light on all night (the electric bill!). Then I wore socks with sandals to take out the trash without thinking twice. My wife shook her head but I saw her smile. This is what peak comedy looks like.

Bro, the porch light thing is real. I catch myself saying the same stuff my dad said and my kids just roll their eyes at me. The socks with sandals is the final form though, you're fully transformed now.

Man, I'm only 3 months in with my first and I'm already worried this is my future. But honestly, if becoming your dad means you've got it figured out enough to make your own jokes about it, that's a win in my book.
