Just realized I'm becoming my own dad

Caught myself saying "We're not paying for the AC so you can cool down the whole neighborhood" while my kids had the garage door open. That's almost word for word what my dad said to me 30 years ago. I even did the same disappointed head shake. It's happening. I'm officially old.

Dude this is gold. I'm not even there yet with my newborn but I can already feel it coming. Pretty sure I'm gonna be saying stuff like this in like 3 years.

Oh man, the AC rant is real. I've had that exact conversation with my kids about three times this summer. Wait until you hear yourself say it and realize your own dad was right about everything.

Haha, welcome to the club! I caught myself doing the exact same thing last week with the garage door. My dad used to say stuff like that and I swore I'd never understand it, now here I am.
