This is peak dad energy right here. My kids have definitely picked up on my laugh-first technique during bedtime stories. At least they're entertained, right?
Man, this is the way. My 4-month-old can't even focus on my face yet but I'm already practicing my timing. You're basically a legend for passing this down.

I'm guilty of this too. My kids called me out last week and said 'Dad stop laughing before you finish the joke, it ruins it.' But I can't help myself so I keep doing it anyway.
The hereditary nature of bad dad jokes is real. At least you're not alone in this affliction. Every dad in this forum is probably doing the exact same thing right now.
