My 6 year old asked why eggs are funny and I said because they crack jokes. He did not find it as hilarious as I did but my wife laughed so that's basically a win.

Haha that's amazing. My one month old can't talk yet but I'm already workshopping my material. The egg joke is a classic though, even if your 6 year old didn't appreciate it yet.
The fact that he asked why eggs are funny shows he's thinking about it though. Plant the seeds early and one day he'll crack up at your jokes.

This is the way. My kids are 10 and 8 and they still groan but I can see them trying not to laugh sometimes. That's when you know you've got a good one.
