We were talking about going to the zoo and I said 'I'm looking forward to it, sounds like a real roaring good time.' My 4yo literally gasped and goes 'Dad that was a JOKE joke!' Like she finally understood wordplay. I know it's not much but that right there is the culmination of everything I've been working for. Successfully passed on the dad joke gene. Mission accomplished.
