I told him it's a genetic thing. He's not laughing yet but give it 10 years and he'll understand the pain he's about to inflict on his own kids. It's the circle of dad.

Sticker charts have taught me that delayed gratification is real, and same goes for bad jokes. They'll appreciate the craft eventually.

Ha, that's exactly it. My kids groan every single time but I know they're already memorizing them to torture their future kids with. The legacy continues.

This is the way. They roll their eyes now but in 10 years they'll be telling their own kids the same terrible jokes. It's the circle of dad life.
