My kid asked me why I always make dad jokes

I told him it's in my job description. He said 'Dad, you work in accounting.' I said 'Exactly, I have to be good with numbers... and dad jokes are just counting on your laughter!' He groaned so hard I think he hurt himself.

Wait that joke is actually good though. Your kid's got a point about the accounting thing but the delivery is what matters. Keep it up, he'll appreciate it when he's older and stealing your jokes for his own kids.

I'm not even an accountant and I use that same joke structure. Kids hate it, which is the whole point. That's the job description right there.
