My kid asked me why I always make dad jokes
I said because your mom thinks they're funny. He looked at me confused and said 'No she doesn't, she literally leaves the room.' Guess the joke's on me.

LOL your ex actually doesn't think dad jokes are funny? That seems like a them problem. Dad jokes are the best because they're terrible and that's the whole point. Your kid will appreciate them eventually.
He'll remember these jokes when he's older and probably tell them to his own kids. That's how the cycle continues.
Ha that's brutal. The fact that he didn't laugh and then had to explain that mom doesn't think they're funny either? That's the joke though. You're officially in the eye-roll zone now.
This is peak dad humor right here. The joke about the joke failing IS the joke. Your son will appreciate this when he's older I promise.
I've accepted that my kids groan at every single joke I make, which means I'm doing my job correctly. The eye rolls are just proof that it's working.

Welcome to having a teenager who realizes dad jokes are intentionally bad. It's actually a sign of growth that he got what you were doing though.
