My kid asked me why I always make dad jokes

I told him it's because I'm a dad. He said that's not a real reason. I said well you're adopted so technically I don't have to explain myself lol. He did not find that funny but I did.

That's hilarious. I feel like every dad joke explanation just leads to more questions anyway, so why not lean into it? Your kid sounds like they've got a good sense of humor about it.

Haha that's a solid comeback. My daughter would probably call me out for that same move, but honestly the adopted joke is peak dad energy right there.
