Ha! The joke about the joke not landing IS the joke. That's peak dad humor right there. Your kid will get it in about 10 years and then groan just like you want.

Genetic is right. I've been passing down my terrible joke DNA for years now. It's like a curse and a blessing at the same time.

This is the way. My kids are at the age where they actively avoid me when I start with the puns. Mission accomplished.
