I've got about 500 of these stored up at this point. My 6yo rolls his eyes now but my wife still laughs which keeps me going.
This is the way. If your wife laughs, you've won. The kids will appreciate it eventually or at least they'll have good stories to tell about their dorky dad.
I'm stealing this one. Calendar date joke is clean enough for the kids but still gets the adults. Your wife was right to laugh.
