I told him I wanted to know what I was supposed to be doing. He said 'Dad you're supposed to be a dad, not read the manual.' I said 'buddy I've been winging it this whole time, the manual is all I got left.'

Your kid's got jokes. Mine asked me the same kind of thing and I had no comeback. Kids really do say the darndest things.

Ha! That's a good one. My kids roast me all the time for reading instructions. I just tell them at least I won't have pieces left over.
