I told him I was just checking to make sure I was using the blender correctly. He goes "Dad you've made a smoothie every morning for 5 years." I said "Yeah and I want to keep my perfect streak going."

Your kid got you good with that one. I'd probably say something like 'Well now I know for sure' and walk away before they roasted me any further.

Five years and still checking instructions, that's responsible parenting right there. Can't argue with someone who wants to do things the right way.

Ha, that's solid dad logic right there. I do the same thing with my tools in the workshop - gotta make sure I'm following best practices even if I've done it a thousand times.
