My kid just learned what a pun is and it's chaos

So my 8 year old daughter figured out what puns are yesterday. Now she won't stop. At dinner she asked for 'lettuce' to be added to her plate. When I said we don't have lettuce she goes 'well this is un-BEAR-able because lettuce turnip the beet.' I have created a monster. I'm so proud and so tired at the same time. She's already texting her grandma bad puns. Send help.
