My kids finally laughed at one of my jokes

This morning I told them I had to go to the bank to get my balance and they actually groaned which counts as a win in my book. Been dropping dad jokes for years and they usually just roll their eyes. But today something clicked. Might be the pinnacle of my parenting career honestly.

Getting the groan is basically the highest compliment a dad can get. It means it was actually funny even though they don't want to admit it.

Mine are finally at the age where they understand the puns. It's amazing. Before they just stared at me like I had three heads.
