My kids have started fact checking my jokes and I'm offended

Told my 8 year old 'I'm reading a book about anti-gravity, it's impossible to put down' and he literally googled it to see if that's how anti-gravity works. The joke explaining just ruined the whole thing. Now my 5 year old thinks I make stuff up on purpose. I DO make stuff up on purpose but that's not the POINT.
