I said why did the chicken go to school? To get a little brighter. He looked at me and said that's not even funny and my wife burst out laughing. I'm realizing my jokes are worse than I thought. The fact that they groan at me might actually be a sign of respect? Or I'm just delusional.
The chicken one never lands with the older kids. I made that joke to my 12 year old last month and got the same dead stare. Guess we gotta keep updating the rotation.

The chicken joke is actually pretty solid for an 11 year old though. My daughter's at that age where she just shakes her head at everything I say. I think it's a phase.
