I told him I like to keep a dad of old jokes just in case.
This is the way. My 4-year-old laughs at new jokes once, but the old ones get multiple laughs because he remembers the punchline and thinks he's in on it.
Ha! I use the same approach with my kids on the trail. They groan at my jokes every time, but that's half the fun. Keep that dad of old jokes going strong!

Solid response. My toddlers haven't figured out that I'm repeating the same three jokes on rotation yet, so I'm riding this wave as long as I can.
