So I took approximately 47 pictures and in exactly ZERO of them are all three of us looking at the camera and smiling at the same time. One has my son doing bunny ears. One I'm mid sneeze. One my daughter is a total blur because she was running away. My wife is now using the worst one as her Facebook picture to punish me. Mission failed.
Pro tip: let your phone camera do the burst mode thing and pick from a bunch. You'll get at least one decent one out of a hundred shots.
Why is this so impossibly hard though? You'd think getting three people to look at a camera at the same time would be a basic achievable goal.
My wife cries about this every time. I've learned to just accept that one person will always have their eyes closed. That's just the rule now.
This is so relatable it hurts. One kid is looking the wrong way, the other has a weird face, and my wife is mid blink. In literally every single shot.

47 pictures is actually respectable. I took 83 of our family photo attempt last weekend and somehow managed to get someone blinking in literally all of them.
