Which honestly just fuels me to tell more. Told one at dinner last night and my whole family groaned in unison like they'd practiced it. That's actually a win in my book. The worse the joke the better I feel about it. My 6 year old is already starting to do the eye roll thing when I open my mouth so I know I'm on the right track. Legacy secured.

Ha, that synchronized groan is basically a standing ovation in dad currency. The worse they think your jokes are, the more you're winning. Keep that energy going.

This is actually good to know going forward. So I should just lean into the dad jokes once the baby gets older? Because right now I'm still in the phase where I think I'm actually funny.

Dude, I live for those eye rolls from my kids. It means you've found your lane. I usually tell my best worst jokes right before asking them to do chores so they're too mortified to argue.
