Got those perfect grill marks on my steaks tonight and my family acted like I just invented fire. My wife said I was more excited about the meat than I was about her birthday gift. She's not wrong. There's just something about the sizzle and the smell that makes you feel like you've accomplished something real.

Those perfect grill marks hit different. My kids know not to talk to me when I'm focused on the sear. It's one of the few things where I get to be the expert in the house.
