My kids have been so well behaved today that I legitimately don't know what we did different. Wife and I haven't yelled once, no tantrums, homework got done without a fight, they played together nicely. Either we finally figured something out or they're planning something big. I'm suspicious but also just gonna enjoy this day and pretend I know what I'm doing as a parent.
Dude, those days are gold. I've learned it's usually when we're not overthinking it - just staying calm sets the whole tone. Enjoy riding this wave, you earned it!
That's awesome. I've found those perfect days usually happen when everyone's fed well and nobody's running on empty. Might've just nailed the breakfast or something simple like that.
With four kids I've learned that good days are 30% what you do and 70% pure luck. Enjoy this one and don't drive yourself crazy trying to figure it out.
Sometimes you just catch lightning in a bottle. My guess is you probably did something different and just don't realize it yet. Maybe earlier bedtime, more outdoor time, less screen time? Pay attention and try to replicate it.
Could be the lunar cycle, could be random chance, could be something you did. Either way enjoy it while it lasts because tomorrow they'll probably find a new way to drive you crazy. That's the dad life.
