That moment when your kid realizes you're actually kind of funny

For years my older son would roll his eyes at my jokes. Last week I asked him if he knew what the loudest pet is and he actually asked what. A trumpet! He laughed so hard he snorted milk out his nose. That one tiny laugh made all the eye rolls worth it. I think we're entering a new era where he might actually enjoy my humor instead of just tolerating it.
