Tried to do a handstand in front of my kids yesterday to show them how cool I am. Made it about 2 seconds before I face planted into the couch. My 8 year old goes, 'Dad, your stomach got in the way!' Thanks buddy. Cold hard truth from the mouth of babes. Now they want to call me the Couch Crasher.
Man, I felt this one! My kids laughed so hard when I wiped out trying to show off last month. The embarrassment is real but honestly they loved seeing dad be human for a second.
This is peak dad. The confidence to try it, the reality check of actually being 40, and the fact that your kids probably loved it anyway. That's what matters.
The dad bod is real but honestly the effort is what they remember. You tried, you failed spectacularly, and everybody laughed. That's a win in my book.
Haha, I tried the same thing last month in front of the whole family. Made it about 1 second and basically faceplanted. My kids thought it was hilarious though so I guess I'm cool for all the wrong reasons.

Ha! At least you committed to it. I tried something similar with my boys and they still won't let me forget it. The dad bod is real but the memories are worth it.
