I caught myself making a pun about my kids' cereal this morning and they groaned so hard that my youngest said 'Dad please stop.' I AM BECOMING THE THING I FEARED. Next thing you know I'll be wearing socks with sandals and laughing at my own jokes. Wait, I already do that. Help.
The cereal pun is actually pretty good though. My kids have mastered the eye roll when I go off but I see them repeating my jokes to their friends sometimes. Mission accomplished.
This is the beginning of your transformation. Next thing you know you'll be dropping groaners about socks and milk. The dad joke epidemic doesn't have a cure, only acceptance.
Oh no, the dad joke disease is contagious and terminal. I made a joke about my kids' apple juice this morning and got the same groan. Pretty sure it's a rite of passage at this point.
