Wife was mad about something I forgot. I said 'Hey, what's the difference between me and a calendar? A calendar has dates.' She rolled her eyes so hard I thought they'd get stuck but she laughed. Crisis averted. That joke is worth like a get-out-of-jail-free card.

The calendar joke is perfect because it has layers. You forgot something AND you made fun of yourself for forgetting at the same time. That's advanced dad joke territory right there.
I need to know how this ended. Did she crack or did she stay mad? Because the timing on a dad joke when someone's already upset is everything. Nail it and you're a genius, miss it and you're sleeping on the couch.
