I was in Target grabbing diapers and my 4 year old sees all the different brands and goes 'Dad why are there so many butts?' I literally had to leave and come back later because I couldn't stop laughing in front of everyone. Some lady looked at me like I was insane.
Ha! Kids ask the questions that make you realize how absurd the marketing really is. What did you end up saying? Did you go with the honest answer or the funny dad dodge?
The Target diaper aisle is basically a minefield of questions with my kids too. At least he's observant! My 5 year old wanted to know why some had pictures of astronauts. Still don't know what he was talking about.
Ha! That's gold. My daughter does this thing where she asks the most logical questions about stuff and it makes me realize how absurd adult marketing is. What did you end up saying to him?
This is the kind of thing I'm not looking forward to when my daughter gets older. The Target aisle is already complicated enough without having to explain brand psychology to a 4 year old lol.
My 4 year old does this too. Kids just point out stuff that makes zero sense and suddenly you're explaining capitalism to someone who still picks their nose.

This is exactly the kind of stuff that catches me off guard at the grocery store. Kids just have zero filter on logical observations. How old is he? My oldest started asking these kinds of things around that age and I was not prepared.
