Changed my newborn's diaper this morning and somehow it went UP his back, DOWN both legs, and INTO his hair. My wife asked how I managed that. I said I didn't know the diaper came with a surround sound option. She did not laugh.
Wait until you've got three of them. The blowouts multiply and somehow get more creative each time. At least when they happen you know you're doing something right, the baby's getting fed.
Dude, the up the back blow out is a rite of passage. I've had them go sideways into the crib, somehow into the diaper bag I was holding... you just accept that poop is a multidirectional threat once you're a dad.

This is why I keep a change of clothes everywhere now. Car, diaper bag, work bag, grandma's house. Just assume the explosion is coming and you won't be disappointed.
