I was buying bananas and I said 'I guess you could say I'm going ape.' She just stared at me and scanned them. My 6 year old was dying laughing though. That's all that matters right?

That's the best part about dad jokes - the kids get it even when the cashiers don't. Your 6 year old is the real audience that matters.

Ha, that's solid. The banana pun landed where it counts. Between my two kids I'm always workshopping material, so I feel the pain when the jokes bomb with adults.
