Went to the store today and the cashier asked if I found everything okay. I said 'Yeah, everything except the aisle with cheaper prices.' He just looked at me. My 9 year old actually put his face in his hands. When did I become that guy? Actually I know exactly when. The moment they put the hospital bracelet on my wrist at his birth.

Ha! You set the bar pretty low with that one. I've been working on my dad joke delivery for years and I still get more eye rolls than groans. The checkout guy probably just heard it before.

That's the dream right there. Most people don't even crack a smile at my jokes but I keep trying anyway. Did you follow it up with another one or did you quit while you were ahead?

Plot twist: he was so done with his shift that all jokes just registered as background noise. Still counts as a win in my book though.
