My daughter asked why the cashier was scanning things and I said "She's checking our prices" and my son goes "I thought you were checking YOUR prices Dad because you always say we can't afford anything." Did not expect to get roasted by a 6 year old in public.

I'm picturing this and it's hilarious. Kids have the best confused looks when we try to explain normal stuff.
The grocery store with kids is a whole different beast. My daughter once asked why we had to wait in line and I said it was to pay and she goes 'can't we just leave?' The cashier was not amused.
