Had to have a serious talk with my 7yo about why he keeps leaving his milk sitting around. Told him the milk fairy doesn't exist and I'm tired of pouring out chunky surprises. He asked if I was the milk fairy. I said yes and I charge by the gallon now. He's been drinking his milk faster ever since.

Been there with three kids and old milk situations are no joke. At least you're being real with him about it instead of just cleaning up after him.

Man, that's a tough conversation but necessary. Getting them to understand actions have consequences early on is huge.
