My kid actually came home today and told me a dad joke HE made up. It was terrible. I was so proud I actually teared up a little. 'Why did the math book look sad? Because it had too many problems!' I'm gonna frame this moment forever.
This is the circle of life right here. The torch has been passed. Pretty soon he'll be making jokes at his sister's soccer games and the cycle continues.
The fact that it was terrible is actually the best part. That's how you know it's a real dad joke. It has to be bad to count.
