My 7 year old asked for cereal and I said 'Sure, we can get the expensive stuff' then grabbed the store brand. He didn't notice. My wife thinks I'm a monster but honestly this is peak parenting. We're saving like $2 a box.

This is perfect. The old switch-a-roo at the grocery store. Classic move and honestly most store brand stuff is basically identical anyway. Your 7 year old's palate isn't sophisticated enough to know the difference and you just saved yourself like 20 bucks a month.
