Is that your kids will repeat your bad jokes at school and you'll get a call from the teacher. Happened to me twice now. The principal knows me by name. Worth it.

This is my biggest fear once my kid gets older. Right now he's too young to share my jokes but I'm dreading the day the school calls about something I said at home.
Welcome to parenthood where your worst jokes become the school's problem too. I just lean into it at this point. If the teacher's going to hear my stuff anyway, might as well make them groan worthy.
The teacher didn't even call me because of the joke. She called because I had apparently told it wrong and my kid was trying to 'fix' it in front of the class. That was embarrassing.

This happened to me. My daughter repeated one of my jokes about why the chicken crossed the road and apparently the whole class had to hear me explain it. Brutal day.
