The worst part about parenting is the dad jokes that come naturally now
I actually caught myself telling my kid a completely genuine, unprompted dad joke yesterday. I said 'You know why the scarecrow won an award? Because he was outstanding in his field.' And I MEANT it. I wasn't even trying to embarrass him. This is who I've become. Please send help.
This made me laugh because I caught myself doing the exact same thing last week and just accepted my fate right there.
I've accepted that this is my life now. My kids groan, I don't care, mission accomplished.
