Things my daughter has asked me to explain at 6am
This morning before I've had coffee my 6 year old asks me why the sky is blue and if dinosaurs could have survived if we gave them medicine. Then wants to know why I have a beard and if I could grow it down to my feet. I'm sitting there half asleep trying to form actual words while she's just firing questions. Pretty sure she's either going to be a scientist or a lawyer. Either way I'm not ready for the teenage years.
The dinosaur questions are relentless at that age. My daughter is the same way. I've started just saying 'that's a great question, write it down and we'll look it up together after breakfast' which buys me time and also makes her feel heard.
