I caught myself saying 'back in my day we didn't have tablets for toddlers' and my 8 year old just stared at me. Then I realized I sound exactly like my dad did to me. Also why do I now think 9pm is late? When did that happen? Anyone else feeling ancient at 35?

This is my life now. I said 'I remember when a video took actual time to load' and got the most disappointed look from my 8 year old. That's when I knew I was officially old.

The worst is when you hear yourself and realize your own dad is now living in your body. I caught myself saying 'don't waste food' like three times yesterday.

Oh man I did the same thing last week. Said something about 'walking uphill both ways' and my kids just stared at me. I felt ancient but also kind of owned it.
