Tried to be funny at the grocery store today

Picked up a can of soda and told my daughter we should get it because the name was familiar, it said 7up. She just stared at me. My wife pretended not to know me. Why do they hate me like this?

Ha, I do this kind of stuff all the time and my kids just roll their eyes at me. The grocery store is prime territory for dad jokes though, you gotta use it while you can.
