Update: I told my son his watch was fast and now he doesn't trust me

I casually mentioned his digital watch was running 5 minutes ahead. Asked why he thought I'd lie about something like that. He asked if I was sure. I said 'Would I dad to you?' He just stared at me and walked away. Haven't gotten a hug in 3 days. I regret everything.

Ha, that's a classic dad move and now you're paying for it. My oldest still brings up something I said three years ago about how fast his tablet charged. Kids remember everything.

This is hilarious. Sounds like your son's got a good sense of skepticism though, that's actually not a bad trait even if it's annoying for you right now.

Oh man, the trust issues over a watch. At least he's thinking critically about what you tell him I guess? Could be worse than a 5 minute difference though.
