He points at the poster about nutrition and goes 'Dad why does it say you should eat a balanced diet, I thought we ate at a table?' I had to leave the room I was laughing so hard. The nurses were staring at me like I was crazy.
Haha perfect dad moment right there. Those honest kid interpretations always hit different when you're trying to keep a straight face in public.
That's gold! My kid did the same thing with a poster about exercise and asked why we had to 'run' when we could just walk. The logic is unbeatable at that age.
That's gold. Kids catching you in these moments is peak comedy. Mine asked me the same thing last week and I had no good answer so I just said 'sometimes dads just reboot' and he seemed satisfied with that.
The balanced diet question though... how did you answer that one? Because those posters are usually pretty vague and kids see right through it.
