Went to the grocery store and this happened

Cashier asked me if I found everything okay. I said 'No, I'm still looking for the exit to my life.' She did not appreciate my humor. My kids were already embarrassed before we even got to the register so I figured why not go all in.

Man, I feel this in my soul. Between work and three kids' schedules, sometimes that exit joke hits different at the grocery store. Your humor is appreciated here though!

Haha, the cashier just doesn't get it. My kids give me that same look when I crack jokes in public, but that's half the fun right there.

This is gold. With twins and a teenager at home, I'm right there with you on needing an exit strategy. The cashier's loss if she can't handle solid dad humor.
