Wife asked me yesterday why I laugh at my own jokes so much. I told her because if I didn't, nobody would. She just shook her head and walked away. Pretty sure that means I won the interaction.

Because your jokes are funny to you and that's what matters. I laugh at my own stuff all the time and my kids groan every single time. Worth it.

My wife gives me the look every time I laugh at my own punchline. Tell her it's job security as a dad. The jokes are supposed to be bad, that's the whole point.

This is the truest thing I've read all week. If you don't laugh at your own jokes nobody will. That's the dad code right there.
