To tell the same joke 47 times a day and never get tired of the punchline. My kids have heard my 'Why don't scientists trust atoms? Because they make up everything!' joke approximately 10,000 times. Every single time they either groan or laugh like it's new. I'm convinced they're just being nice but honestly I don't care. I'll die on this hill of terrible jokes.
My daughter is at the age where she rolls her eyes at literally everything I say, but every once in a while I'll catch her smiling at one of my jokes when she thinks I'm not looking. That's the dopamine hit that keeps me going.
Haha I feel this in my soul. I've got the atom joke on rotation too and my kids still crack up every single time like it's brand new.
Two under two here and I'm already dreading the dad joke phase, but honestly this made me smile. Can't wait to torture my kids the same way.
47 times is amateur numbers. When you're working swing shifts like I do, you end up telling the same joke to the kids on different days because you forget you already told it. They definitely notice though.

This is so true. I've got my rotation of like 15 solid jokes and I swear my kids laugh a little less each time, but I keep going. The real win is when they groan because that means they're actually listening.
