I respect your commitment to dad jokes regardless of the audience reaction. The soccer practice crowd might not be ready but your son will remember these moments.
Haha that's perfect. One person getting it is all you need to validate the whole thing. I'm still in the trenches with a newborn but I'm already preparing my arsenal of terrible jokes for when he's old enough to hear them.
One dad laugh is definitely a win. That's the dad joke sweet spot right there. I tell these at my boys' soccer games too and I've learned to just embrace the eye rolls.
Okay that's a solid joke though. Soccer practice parents need to appreciate good comedy when they hear it. Don't let the looks discourage you.
